Important Summit School dates to remember

There are a lot of opportunities to play and sing coming up, I thought I'd fill you in. Feel free to spread the word...ALSO, we have a special class offering coming up: West African singing with Jordan Mensah. Begins in 2 weeks, and runs for 4 weeks. Feb. 12th-Mayfly at the Bees Knees, Morrisville 7:30-10pm

Feb. 14th-Summit Singer’s Reunion at Red Hen Bakery in Middlesex, 1-3pm (ALWAYS 2nd Sunday of the month)

Feb. 14th-Plainfield Shape-note sing (ALWAYS 2nd Sunday of the month)

Feb. 17th-House Carpenters (old-time stringband with Dan Haley, Katie Trautz and Ted Ingham and Noah Hahn) at Langdon St. Café 8-9pm, followed by an old-time session. All are welcome!

Feb. 26/28-Village Harmony Winter Weekend at Lake Morey (workshops all weekend long!) visit www.villageharmony.org to register.

Feb. 26/27 Alan Jabbour and Ken Perlman workshops in Montpelier! Workshop in old-time fiddle and banjo 3pm Saturday, Feb. 27th.

March 14th-Summit School Open House performance opportunity 5-7pm poluck. At the Summit School on Barre St. (there is also singer’s reunion on this date 1-3pm at Red Hen)

March 17th-St. Patty’s Day celebration with Summit School at Langdon St. Café. Pete Sutherland, Benedict and Hilari 8-10pm. Followed by a late night Irish session and party!

April 9/10-UVM old-time festival. Workshops with Mayfly, great music all weekend long!

April 11th-Begins next semester at Summit School!

April 21st-House Carpenters and old-time session at Langdon St. Café. 8-10:30pm.
