Class Description

Sing the old songs of New England and the Maritimes that might have been lost many years ago had some dedicated collectors not preserved them. Class participants will learn songs from the Helen Hartness Flanders ballad collection and the Carrie Grover collection of songs from Maine and Nova Scotia, as well as songs from the Irish who came over to work in the logging camps of New England and the Maritimes. Instructor Sara Grey has a wealth of knowledge about all of these, and it promises to be a really fun class!
